In our last blog post, we introduced you to our outsourced partners who help us deliver superb products and services while building a diverse workforce in the northwest Twin Cities. But our outsourced partners are just one characteristic that sets Packaging Plus apart from other packing and shipping companies. Here’s a look at how our status as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and FDA and GMP-compliant company help us serve you better.
Meet Charlie Pearson
Charlie Pearson purchased Packaging Plus in 2016 after decades in the document destruction and automobile and RV industries. Charlie attributes the growth in sales at Packaging Plus over the past year to focusing on customers’ needs and listening to their suggestions on how to deliver a better product and better service.
In addition to being CEO and president of Packaging Plus, Charlie is a retired military veteran. He served in the military for 6 years between 1965 and 1971. During his tours of duty, Charlie became disabled. Consequently, Packaging Plus is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.
Benefits of Working with a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business
The Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Program (SDVOSB) provides economic benefits and assistance to business owners who were disabled during military service. One perk of the program is that SDVOSBs are often awarded sole-source federal contracts or have other types of federal contracts set aside for them.
But working with an SDVOSB like Packaging Plus has benefits for you, the customer, too. Our certification as an SDVOSB means you can trust us to deliver products and services of the highest quality on time and for a competitive price.
Other Certifications That Set Packaging Plus Apart
Our SDVOSB certification is just one professional credential that sets us apart from other packaging companies. We are also FDA-registered and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant. These certifications put us among the elite few packaging companies who can safely and accurately serve the medical, food, drug, cosmetics, and natural products industries.
To maintain our compliance with the FDA and GMP regulations, we’ve developed and implemented procedures that maintain strict quality control and safe handling of products for human consumption. These procedures cover every aspect of our work, from safe storage to packing and shipping.
We’d love to learn how we can put our certifications to work to serve you better. Give us a call or contact us today for help with the package design and shipment of your product.
